Finishing Compounds: Metal Polishing Compound for Buffing Wheels

Renegade Products’ finishing compounds are engineered for those who demand a true mirror finish from their polishing process. Made with premium raw materials and zero cheap fillers, our compounds deliver consistency, longevity, and unmatched shine for aluminum, stainless steel, and other metals. These are the final touch in your two-stage or three-stage metal polishing workflow.

Product Features:

Premium Raw Materials: Formulated without low-cost fillers to ensure consistent quality and superior performance.

For Final Shine: Designed to be used after cut and color stages to create a mirror-like finish—ideal for show-quality detailing.

Finely Balanced Formulas: Our finishing bars are tailored with extremely fine abrasive grains, making them perfect for refining and brightening your surface without introducing swirl marks.

Color-Coded Performance: Bar colors indicate their abrasive properties, helping you choose the right compound with ease. For example, Tripoli bars appear brown due to the natural pigment of Tripoli powder.

Trusted by Professionals: Used across industries—from big rig restoration to marine detailing—for reliable, high-gloss results.

Recommended Polishers:

• MAKITA 9237C: 3,500 RPM polisher for pros and beginners.
• MAKITA GA7021: 6,000 RPM machine for experienced users seeking high-speed performance.

Polishing Prep Guide:

Start your prep with 180 grit sanding discs, then move to 220 and finish at 400 grit for aluminum. Finer grits aren't typically necessary before applying Tripoli compound.

For surface cleaning and prep:

• Use blue Buff and Blend discs to remove grime and rust.
• Follow up with a maroon Satin Airway Buffing Wheel to eliminate any light scratches left behind.
• Avoid green Buff and Blend discs unless working on concrete or very rough surfaces.

Pro Tip:

Maintain your finish between polishing stages using Renegade Red Liquid Metal Polish, Pro Red, or Pipe Dream Chrome Conditioner & Polish. These help preserve your shine without restarting the full cut and polish process.

Achieve that “liquid metal” look with Renegade’s finishing compounds—perfect for big rigs, motorcycles, aluminum wheels, stainless trim, and beyond.
