Prepare aluminum, stainless steel, and other metal surfaces for polishing with Renegade Products USA Sanding Airway Buffs. This 10-inch abrasive wheel combines the cutting action of sanding media with the flexibility and control of an airway-style buff. Its 12-ply construction and semi-flexible J-weight abrasive strips follow curves, edges, contours, recessed areas, water channels, and uneven surfaces that can be difficult to reach with conventional discs or sheets.

The open, flexible strip design helps reduce loading and uneven pressure while producing a more consistent scratch pattern before polishing. Use it to help level oxidation, pitting, scratches, coatings, and textured areas on aluminum wheels and truck rims, stainless steel, cast aluminum, diamond plate, welds, fabricated metal, and other compatible metal surfaces. Test first in an inconspicuous area when removing paint, coatings, or adhesives.

Grit Selection

• 180 Grit: Coarser correction for heavier oxidation, pitting, coating removal, and material leveling.
• 320 Grit: Intermediate refinement and blending after coarse correction.
• 600 Grit: Finer surface preparation before the buffing and polishing stages.

Important Use and Safety Information

Operate only within the recommended range of 1,500–2,000 RPM. Use a variable-speed power tool that can maintain this range. Do not use a tool that cannot be operated at the recommended speed.

Always follow the wheel label and power-tool instructions, use the correct mounting hardware and safety flanges, and never exceed the manufacturer’s stated maximum RPM. Inspect the wheel before every use and do not use it if damaged, distorted, or improperly mounted. Wear eye and face protection, hearing protection, and respiratory protection appropriate for the material being sanded. Store clean and dry to help prevent damage.

This is a sanding and surface-preparation wheel, not a final polishing wheel. Final shine requires separate buffing and polishing steps.
